My dad's ranch is one of my favorite places on earth. In all honesty, I was born a country girl. I believe I'm living in the city
temporarily and will one day build my dream home out in the country (
preferably on my dad's ranch). I love to just sit on the porch and watch the cattle roam the pasture. My dad currently has about 180 acres and hopes to add more very soon. My dad gave me a cow by the name of Fancy a few years ago. Fancy has had a couple of calves, one just the other day. We named the new calf Reba. Fancy has always had very interesting looking calves. Her new calf has a cute little pink and white nose and a white dot on her forehead. I wanted to take a picture of Reba before leaving the ranch today, however, Fancy hid Reba to protect her from coyotes and other wild animals. We searched for Reba for about 30 minutes before we finally found her. Here is my precious new calf!
The kids also love the ranch. I did not get a lot of pictures of them this weekend. But I love this picture of Isaiah. He loves to watch the cows. I really wonder what he is thinking.
I can't wait until our home is "on the range."
Oh, and Dad, when I finally have that home on the range I'm keeping C-Section. Save her for me!
Until next time,
Melissa
